About Hala Gores

Hala started her private practice in May of 1989. Since then, Ms. Gores has devoted her practice to representing individuals and families in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. Ms. Gores holds an "AV" rating, the highest peer rating for ethical standards and legal ability, as compiled by the Martindale-Hubbell National Law Directory. In 1983, she graduated with highest honors from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Middle East Studies Certificate. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the Lewis and Clark Northwestern School of Law in 1987. Ms. Gores is a member of the Oregon State Bar, and the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.

Ms. Gores sits on the Oregon Trial Lawyers Board of Governors, is a member of the President's Circle of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and is Oregon's Minority Delegate to the American Trial Lawyers Association. Since 1989, she has been a member of the Owen M. Panner American Inn of Court, and is currently a Master in that Inn. The goal of the American Inns of Court is to raise the standard of the legal profession, achieve higher levels of excellence, and further the practice of law with dignity and integrity.

Ms. Gores also sits on the Advisory Board of the Portland State University- Middle East Studies Center, the Advisory Board of Pioneer Pacific College, and The Advisory Committee of the Al-Khaledy Scholarship Fund at Portland State University. She is a former chair of the Multnomah Bar Association Committee to Advance Equality in the Law. Ms. Gores is a frequent speaker on personal injury law.
